Prof. Watson Leslie Job has worked in various communities, organisations, church ministries within the development arena. These areas were predominantly coloured and black communities which has changed since the new dispensation and has become quite diverse in that it spans across all races and cultures.
He is an appointed Justice of the Peace/Commissioner of Oaths; Registered Specialist Counsellor with Council for Counsellors; Studied Commercial Law; obtained a Diploma in International Financial Management; over 20 years in the banking industry and a diploma in Commercial Management. He achieved a Bachelors Degree in Theology: a Masters Degree in Counselling and a Doctorate Degree in Counseling.
He is also the Founder of a Learning Centre with the primary objective to train and equip the community in various community programs like, Aids Counseling and Support Groups; Theological courses; Offer workshops, mini workshops and seminars in the different fields of crisis and traumas.
He is also the President of 3 churches and an appointed Senior Lecturer/Mentor and Professor of Therapon University, U.S. Virgin Islands.He is also the Vice-Chairperson of The South African Doctorate Council in S.A.He mobilised the community through his strong financial and Law background to actively participate in their own initiatives to improve the quality of their own living conditions.He carries also a great knowledge on Land Reform issues. He has done a lot of work for the Chief Land Claims Commission’s office through the Development of the National Validation/Verification Research framework for the Land Restitution Trust. This was an innovative programme that fast tracked the restitution process.
His crime prevention and community outreach programmes have created an atmosphere of participation and ownership within the community.His expertise and knowledge in a variety of community based initiatives is widely welcomed and utilised.He also worked closely with various police stations in the Johannesburg Area; Family Court and Family Advocate on family related cases. He has a passion for the destitute; underprivileged, young children and the elder.
